Drivers for Toshiba TEC printheads

Meteor inkjet electronics drive the range of industrial printheads from TOSHIBA Tec (TTec). Supporting CA3, CA4, CA5, CE2 and CF1 at full firing frequency and resolution, print control is managed by either PCC-6 or PCC-8 for a range of integration options and specific printhead functions driven from either HDC-L or HDC-CF1

Driving TTec's through flow head, CF1, our HDC-CF1 electronics support all 8 greylevels, thermistor input and independent row control.

Our Head Driver Card version L (HDC-L) electronics drive TOSHIBA Tec's end shooter printheads as well as Xaar 318 (Omnidot 318)

The HDC-L and HDC-CF1, with your choice of PCC, are complete driver solutions for TTec heads providing data and pulse firing so no additional electronics or firing drivers are required.

For optimised jetting performance waveform selection and amplitude modification are provided on a per printhead basis. Parameters are software specified and adjustable by printhead or colour with full pallet map support.

Meteor provides full printhead functionality including:-

• Pulse voltage variation
• Temperature sensing
• Automatic firing pulse temperature compensation
• Row to row balancing - CE2 & CF1
• Row to Row timing

Scalable architecture enables construction of large printhead arrays. Ensuring print is co-ordinated across the whole print array Meteor transparently manages data flow with sub-pixel timing for simple, straight forward and reliable integration, even with wide-webs and high print speeds.

Integration is further simplified as each HDC provides 4 user configurable input and output connections. Configured through the API these ports are free for OEMs use to control external peripherals such as UV lamps, temperature or remote reservoir level sensors. It is your choice.

Greatly simplifying application and rip layer programming Meteor software interface or API completes our electronic drivers for TOSHIBA Tec printheads allowing OEMs to use their core IP and implement product differentiation features above the driver electronics.

The ability to differentiate products in their target market and rapid development of next generation solutions is assured for OEMs by incorporating Meteor driver electronics. All product differentiation, and Meteor features, can be maintained across a range of inkjet printers which may perhaps use CA4 in an entry level machine and CF1 heads for a high end product.
